2026 ‘O Fil de Lo’ Pinot Blanc (Tamar Valley)

$42.00

Growing & Winemaking

Fruit sourced from the Grey Sands vineyard in the Tamar Valley. The site is planted to a high density of 8,800 vines/ha. The Pinot Blanc sits on the upper slopes of the vineyard, and as such benefits from a shallower soil promoting maturity and concentration.

Whole bunch pressed and wild fermented in 3-5yr old 228L barriques. Racked and returned to barrel after primary ferment. Full malolactic fermentation. Filtered and bottled with minimal sulphur. 83 doz produced.

The cuvée name ‘O Fil de Lo’ is a riff on the French phrase,  au fil de l’eau (along the thread of the water…..). On a recent trip to Corsica, the crystal clear waters and the jagged rocky outcrops spoke to the vitality of our surroundings and bled into a connection with this wine.

Tasting

Lemon pith, grapefruit and white peach, with a flicker of pineapple and a salty, stony edge. Bright and tensile through the palate, with a little texture and grip. Fresh, savoury and mineral, with a long, saline finish.
